    It was the morning sun that bothered her the most. It glistened on her face and made it hard to open her eyes, the light dialating her pupils too widely for this hour. She could hear the birds chirping and the visitors chatting in the main hall. What is the main hall? Brief description here.

    "I am going downstairs for breakfast, since I cannot get a rest with these brats here fooling around in my room." Jackie muttered aloud, standing and beginning to pull off her bed.

    Mama was just down stairs making fresh her hands and apron smothered with dough.

    "Mama what are these people doing in our house? I like strangers snooping in my house." She demanded to know.

    Mama put her hands on her hips in disappointment, why was she so rude today? "Well, If you demand to know. They are here to interview our Lakeside Manor." Mama bit her lip then went back to her cooking.

    "Why do you seem nervous to tell me something as simple as that?" Jackie questioned.

    Mama just shook her head as if to say "No reason at all.". After the food was ready, Mama placed the perfectly fried on her plate. She seemed nervous and shaky as she served the beans, rice, and ground-beef.

    "I suppose all these children live here and belong to you?" One of the interviewers offhandedly asked to Mama.

    "Oh no sir, Jacqueline here is my only child." She let out a rusty smile. For a moment their was complete silence.

    "Well! hmm… so do you guys like the place?" Who is asking this question? Also hmm is not really a word used commonly.

How could she let go of the place she was born in? Mama always was silent when she is lying so she knew there was something wrong. Jackie felt anger towards all of them, and it showed by the way she stared at them.

    Now, got a good plot line so far. But you do need to work on your writing skills. I know how old you are, but from your writing skills say sixth, seventh grade, maybe eighth but pushing it. So, see how I spaced out each sentence where someone new spoke? You need to do that as well. It gets a bit confusing, because if someone speaks like the following:

    "Kenny, stop!" Jamie laughed, trying to shove the tickler off of him. "Stop!"

    Then you would keep it in one line. But if VERY long, like five sentences or whatever, than you could separate the lines spoken. But that is only the rule if it is the same person. When different people, skip a line in between.

    It seems like you changed the way Jackie speaks from one sentence to another. Try to be consistant, especially if the main character. Include what time period this is in, in your writing with small hints or you can be direct in the text with the outfit she is wearing or the lack of electricity or whatever.

    "Mama always was silent when she is lying so she knew there was something wrong." This sentence is of irrelevant to the rest.

    Try to slow everything down a bit. You can make this one little scene into at least five, maybe six typed pages on the computer if you fit in descriptions of what people look like and the setting.

    You of remind me of myself as a writer when I was in seventh grade. I out just like you but believe me- once you get the right story, it gets really easy.   13. You or anyone else would use your information in cooking. Say that you buy a quantity of ground beef – say 1 pound – to use in a recipe to feed 4 people. Knowing that the orange juice in the recipe reduces the quantity of beef you have, you might buy 1 pound plus a few ounces to make up for the loss.
    Your project is not useless; you will remember the results whenever you make a recipe containing beef and lemon juice or orange juice. Vinegar seems less likely, but maybe apple cider vinegar could be combined also with other ingredients. You picked a good topic!

Good nutrition is based on eating a veriety of foods and eating one thing at every meal (especially highly processed foods like soy protein) is questionable. And 1013 calories is too little you should be aiming for no less then 1200 (and possibly more if you are active).

    How to Prepare:

    minutes; drain. Add onion,broth
    & mushrooms. Heat toboiling; reduce heat. Cover

    a boil. Sprinkle guar gum over mixture; stir in. Heat
    for a couple of minutes &gravy will to thicken.
    If too thick add some water to desired consistency(I
    add 1/2 can of water tomake more gravy & cut
    down on the salty taste).

  26. It might go better if you boosted the calories up to 1200. You want your body to go into starvation mode. I think that the amount of weight lost would also depends on the person. Another person on that same diet may lose more or less than you would.

    I was having around 1550 calories per day when I was trying to lose my waist. I averaged 1.1 lbs lost per week.

  27. Wow, I never would have thought so many people had never been in a grocery store. Most people buy meat that is prepackaged, sold at so much per pound and displayed in cold cases. Many stores do have a butchers case where you can order so many pounds of such-and-such, but those are usually the pricier meats and seafoods.
    Many, many people besides mothers buy meat as well. Are you from the 1950s?

    Honestly if you want pre made ground "beef" that is easily available and taste bad and GMO and the company who owns it is a little better go with Morningstar Crumbles, they taste really close to ground beef and it goes way better in sloppy joes.

    But if you want something that you can make yourself and always have on hand that is cheap and can feed a lot of people easily go out to a grocery store especially one with a bulk foods section and get some TVP (textured vegetable protein) Mix a cup of that with about a cup of water (sometimes less) and some soy sauce and seasonings and you can make some great stuff: TVP Taco filling, Chili, Sloppy Joes, Veggie Burgers, Bolognese sauce…and you can flavor it how you want and buy it cheap in bulk which is useful when the rich cannot run the economy except into the ground.

    Sometimes the meat is pre priced and you buy it on the freezer shelf.

  30. For many years I have been buying a roast every week at the grocery store and having it ground by the meat As Lone Wolf said the store will do this for you for free.
    I have found that the best meat to grind is a "Boneless Chuck Roast". It usually has strings around it to hold it together. buy one that is very lean because the fat is what gives it the taste.

  32. you seem to have very little detail of the setting and mention the environment your characters are in almost never. Also you gave no description of your characters in your story. I honestly had no clue this was a fantasy story until towards the end and am still unsure of what time period/what genre of writing this is.
    If the speaker of the dialogue changes then there needs to be a new paragraph.
    Also when your characters think something it is rather vague as to who is thinking it

    I saw a recipe for burgers with cheese in the middle and I really wanted to try it. I purchased Gimme Lean beef in the refrigerated roll and made my "magic middle" burgers with soy cheese. They held together w/o using egg.

    Best to look at local grocery stores on Monday and Tuesday mornings for meat that has been discounted for quick sale for the best prices – although you will rarely see chuck or round discounted because they also grind it up for hamburger
